
The New BCF Executive
The Annual General Meeting of the Barbados Chess Federation was held on Saturday, October 15, 2022, at the Coles Building on Bay Street, Bridgetown.
One of the main items on the agenda was the election of officers. There are four changes to the previous executive. Trevor Griffith has been elected as 1st Vice-President (Member Development) replacing Carol Ann Burke while Kelvin Daniel is the 2nd Vice-President (Tournaments). Justin Parsons and Sandra Blackman take on the new roles of 3rd Vice President of Marketing and Communications and Assistant Secretary-Treasurer, respectively. Katrina Blackman is the new Treasurer, having replaced Rohansonn Waithe. However, the position of General Secretary remains to be filled.

2nd Vice-President (Tournaments): Kelvin Daniel
3rd Vice-President (Communications and Marketing): Justin Parsons
General Secretary – To Be Filled
Treasurer: Katrina Blackman
Assistant Secretary-Treasurer: Sandra Blackman
We wish to extend our gratitude to the previous executive members for their service to the between 2018-2022. The new Executive would like to thank the members of the Federation for its support and looks forward to working with the chess community over the next 2-3 years as we strive to further develop the sport.(BC
